Ms Skweyiya is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sanlam and member of the Risk and Compliance Committee, the Customer Interest Committee and Digital Transformation and Information Technology Forum.
Ms Skweyiya has over 24 years’ experience as a director and currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Woolworths. Ms Skweyiya has held various directorships at other companies over the years, including, Absa Bank Limited, Rothschild South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Liberty Holdings Ltd, Stanlib Limited, Development Bank of Southern Africa, Adapt IT (Pty) Ltd, Telkom SOC Limited, Imperial Holdings Limited, Royal Bafokeng Resources, Cipla Pharmaceuticals Limited and Sumitomo Rubber Industries(Pty) Ltd. She is also a former member of the Council of the University of KwaZulu Natal.
Ms Skweyiya is an admitted attorney of the New York State Bar in the United States. She holds a B.Proc and LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, an LLM degree from Harvard University and a HDip in Tax from the University of the Witwatersrand.
